Our incredible throws are all designed and woven in our mill in Donegal town, with a team that has many years experience working with yarns, colour and weaves. We talk to our designer Deirdre Morrow on how she designs our iconic throws.

What inspires your designs for throws?

Colour and feeling for the season. We have many beautiful yarn shades spun from recipes balancing multiple colour ingredients which we then design with, combining chosen yarn colours for desired effect in the plaids, checks, and plains.

In terms of the plaid throws can you tell us more about this design?

These throws are soft to both hand and eye, the natural fibre blend provides cosy loftiness, and the colour combinations are low contrast to reflect hazy landscapes as we emerge from winter.

What for you makes the perfect throw and where do you like to place them in your own home?

To my mind the perfect throw is a natural fibre composition, tactile and attractively coloured.  Over time they become familiar comforters for relaxing on cooler days, enjoyed both indoors and outside.
