In fashion we are always working on another season, rather than fully in the now, so right now, we are starting to plan AW24, and we have finished SS24! Before each season launches, we capture it on location – through photo & film, so over two hot sunny weeks in Ireland in June we put our heads into winter mode and wrapped our beautiful models up in luxurious Donegal tweeds and chunky wool knits.
This year for the first time we shot everything in the AW23 collection in studio – pretty intense days but so worth it! We want people to see all our pieces coming to life, not just a flat cut out, but on a model, the way the garment falls and moves on the body. We had fun playing around with different styling and coordinates, made short videos and took literally thousands of shots! In keeping with our heritage our backdrop is a beautifully soft misty grey Donegal tweed – adding depth and life to each shot.
We then spent two days in a truly special place in Donegal – the location captured so much of us – where we have come from and where we are now. We always talk about our inspiration being drawn from these unique and special parts of Donegal, Ireland and this campaign showcases this. Green-brown rolling hills peppered with mountain sheep and a sparkling blue-green sea, waves broke on the rocky shore and three dolphins swam around the small bay all morning.
