Magee 1866 has always been inspired by life by the sea. This World Oceans Day 2024 we reflect on the top 3 ways the colours, shoreline and coastal lifestyle has been part of our DNA.

 

 

Sandy Shorelines

Donegal has an amazing 14 blue flag beaches from Rossnowlagh and Murvagh to Fintra and Nairin. Many have featured as the backdrop to our seasonal shoots, we think there’s nothing like the epic coastlines of the north west of Ireland.

 

 

Sailing Away

The Temple family enjoy spending time on their boat - the Sandpiper exploring the islands and shorelines of Donegal. The wardrobe for carefree, outdoor life is a rich reference for our Creative Director Charlotte Temple.

 

 

Sea Blues

Surrounded by the sea our design team at our weaving mill are endlessly influenced by the ways the ocean inspires - from its ever changing colourways to its movement and patterns. Our Diamond weave throw is a weave inspired by the effect of light on water.

 

This World Oceans Day keep our oceans beautiful by following the Clean Coast rules and #2minutebeachclean by leaving no trace when you visit Donegal's beauty spots and further afield this summer.
