Rosy's Christmas in Donegal
Our CEO of Magee 1866 Rosy Temple talks through her favourite family traditions, the best places to see Donegal in December and what she would love to see under her tree on Christmas Day.
Best winter walks in Donegal?
Murvagh beach just outside Donegal town is wonderful for winter walks, with a long stretch of strand, it's a tranquil spot to blow away the cobwebs and you can walk around the headland and finish up in Smuggler’s Creek in Rossnowlagh. I also love trail-running and one of my favourite spots at this time of year is Carnaween in the Bluestack mountains. It is unbeatable for beautiful winter views.
Favourite family Christmas tradition?
I love having a nip of my Dad’s homemade Sloe Gin after a winter walk to warm up.
Christmas in Donegal is not complete without…
Picking brussel sprouts in Mum’s frosty garden for Christmas dinner.
Magee 1866 gift under the tree?
The Anna turtleneck in 100% merino is the ultimate winter warmer.
