Magee is a 5th generation Irish family business with over 150 years’ experience in designing, weaving and tailoring cloth and clothing in Donegal Town. The Company operates across manufacturing, wholesale, retail and e-commerce.

We are recruiting for the following role at The Weavers Loft Bistro on The Diamond, Donegal Town:

Restaurant Assistants/Waiting Staff

The Weavers Loft Bistro - Magee of Donegal

We have a number of vacancies at the Weavers Loft Bistro, Magee of Donegal for full-time and part-time Restaurant Assistants/Waiting Staff.

Key responsibilities:-

  • Serving customers, ensuring that all orders are taken correctly, and that the food is served in an efficient, courteous and friendly manner.
  • Assisting with food prep as required under the guidance of the Chef.
  • Making teas, coffees etc and plating up the desserts.
  • Regular cleaning of all areas of the dining area and kitchen area.
  • Taking payments and cashing up at the end of the day.

Key requirements are:-

  • The ability to work as part of a team is essential as is the ability to anticipate a customer’s needs.
  • Some experience in a similar environment would be an advantage but is not necessary.

Weekly hours are 37.5 for full-time and approx. 20 for part-time. There is a six-day rota, Monday to Saturday, so flexibility is vital.

We wish to recruit an experienced Fabric Design and Sales Executive, based at our Weaving Mill in Donegal Town:

Fabric Design and Account Manager

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Fabric Design and Account Manager, based at our Weaving Mill in Donegal Town. The role involves designing and selling fabrics in line with customer requirements and developments.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Designing fabrics to customer specifications.
  • Preparation, presentation and selling seasonal ranges.
  • Keeping abreast of current trends and markets.

Key requirements are:-

  • A passion for fabric and textiles with a keen eye for colour, design and originality and some knowledge of the weaving process.
  • 3-5 years’ experience designing either woven accessory, apparel or technical fabrics.
  • The ability to interpret and translate customer briefs correctly.
  • Preparation, presentation and selling seasonal ranges.
  • Keeping abreast of current trends and markets.
  • Computer literate with CAD experience and the ability to learn in-House systems.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.

Sales Assistants (Full- and Part-time)

Retail Sales Assistant - Magee of Donegal

The successful candidates will work across all departments and will join a great team of enthusiastic and energetic people so you will need to be a good team-player whilst also being able to work on your own initiative. Ongoing on-the-job training will be provided. The store is open Monday – Saturday and on Sundays during peak season so flexibility is essential.

Key requirements are:-

  • A dynamic and enthusiastic personality with a passion for selling and the desire to increase sales.
  • Exceptional communications and customer service skills providing an unforgettable in-store experience.
  • Attention to detail in all areas.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience selling high quality products in a similar retail environment.
